Stockland Community Development Grants

The Stockland Community Development Grants Program provides funding for projects which respond to local needs and issues, as identified by the local community, within the Moreton Bay Local Government Area. The program provides funding of a minimum of $1,000 and up to a maximum of $5,000 exclusive of GST to support eligible projects/events.

Eligibility

Eligible Applicants

  • Community-based and not-for-profit organisations
  • Incorporated groups or organisations
  • An unincorporated organisation sponsored by an incorporated organisation (including school P&Cs)

Eligible Applications

  • Community skills development (excluding staff wages and salaries)
    Examples:
    • Skills development for community workers and volunteers
    • Skills development for local teachers
    • Strategy and business planning for community organisations
  • Community Infrastructure
    Examples:
    • Upgrades to facilities to improve community access and use
    • New infrastructure not currently existing in the community
    • Purchase of equipment for use in community activities
  • Community Development Projects & Activities
    Examples:
    • Youth support programs
    • Adult learning programs
  • Community Events & Festivals

Ineligible Applications

  • Core business and operational responsibilities of the organisation
  • Staff wages and salaries
  • Retrospective funding for projects completed prior to receipt of grant funding
  • Support for individual pursuit without community benefit
  • Projects which do not support the community within the Moreton Bay Local Government Area

Assessment Criteria

  • Can the organisation effectively administer the grant within 12 months?
  • What will the impact of the project be in their community/area?
  • Is there identified community need for the project?
  • Will the project strengthen the liveability of the community?
  • Are there benefits to the broader community rather than just the members of the applicant organisation?
  • Does the project demonstrate long-term benefits to the community/participants?
  • Is the project sustainable and will not require recurrent funding from Stockland?
